New Level was commissioned by a government agency through their managing agent to provide a bespoke Asbestos Management Plan to ensure compliance with the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations.

Our terms of reference were enhanced with the knowledge that the client was in receipt of an enforcement notice from the HSE and despite all efforts by the client and the appointment of a consultancy practice to undertake these works, the entire management system was not just incomplete, but in reality no further forward from when the original enforcement notice was issued.

With less than 24 hours remaining prior to the HSE meeting with the client, New Level was commissioned to produce the required Asbestos Management Plan and attend a meeting with the HSE on the following day to present the plan.

A senior consultant from this practice immediately attended site at 6pm to discuss the scope of work with the client and set about producing a bespoke management plan that included all external offices across the UK.

The plan was presented the next morning and not only accepted by the HSE but commended for the practical approach in considering the priorities of the business due to the nationwide coverage.

Irrespective of timescale and priority, New Level’s fee was considered to be extremely competitive, coupled with the client commenting that he would have been obliged to pay a sum considerably higher, we have now been appointed as their Asbestos Duty Holder for their entire UK portfolio.
