New Level Safety are commissioned by a government agency to provide improved communication through the development of Safe Working Procedures across their entire Print, Distribution and Warehouse facilities.
This involves manual goods handling, bulk paper movement, fork-lift truck operation, machine use and cleaning – all of which are potentially hazardous activities.

Whilst health and safety procedures and risk assessments were in place, further documented safe working procedures and “Toolbox” training was required to demonstrate an enhanced level of management commitment, control, and empowerment to employees whilst at the same time enhancing communication across the entire business. Furthermore we enhanced the service delivery with additional support to line managers and TUS representatives while provided a continuous advisory service and briefings to all employees within the print facility during the undertaking of the specified works.
The specified works included continuous consultation with the employees on specific working practices, the development of improved work methods, provision of “toolbox” training and documented procedures approved fully by management, TUS and employees. The level of support afforded to the client has resulted in our being retained for a period of three years to provide both operational and corporate support to the entire business across the UK. Furthermore, the level of communication and “buy-in” from the employees has improved immensely due to our independent support. This has contributed towards the client receiving an International Safety Award from The British Safety Council every year since 2005.
