The Construction Industry has, for a number of years, been the target of criticism as a direct result of poor standards towards Health & Safety.
The influx of overseas workers and continued sector growth has further focused attention from enforcing authorities. Whilst accidents and fatalities still occur, the industry is improving as a direct result of responsible employers and clients with a meaningful commitment to health and safety.
Many critics will say the number of accidents in the Construction Industry over recent years has not declined, but we need to be mindful that the number of individuals now employed in the industry has significantly increased. Consequently Loss Time Accident rates per man hour have decreased.
The recent changes to the CDM Regulations and growing awareness within the industry has had a positive effect on management; consequently New Level Safety has seen an increase in construction related business with a range of clients from Sole Traders, SME’s and Plc construction companies.
Our range of services have been further extended and include Pre-qualification Packs, CHAS Applications, CSCS Training, CDM Coordinator, Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans, Training, Method Statements and Risk Assessments designed to be useful tools and not onerous documents. Our clients have used these services both as a ‘full’ package and selectively in support of their own H&S Management Teams.
