Pete draws on over fifteen years of direct involvement with health and safety in both the public and private sector, including Shell International, the Open University and Local Government.

During his time with Shell, Pete was the Lead Health, Safety and Environment Adviser with Shell Real Estate Services managing the provision of an integrated Health, Safety and Environment Management System and providing advice and consultancy services in the areas of real estate, property and facilities management.

He specialises in the development and implementation of bespoke Health and Safety Management Systems that link with a company’s existing management framework. An experienced auditor, he has conducted health and safety audits of large and medium sized companies in the UK, Europe and the Far East; as well as being involved with detailed investigations of serious accidents following the root cause analysis principles.

Pete started his working career in aircraft electrical engineering and since moving into Health and Safety Management he has advised companies involved in property and facilities management, finance, commerce, higher education and museums.
